	BTTB-X-Series: Andrew Weatherall Da die Programmänderung im Offenen Kanal sehr kurzfristig angekündigt wurde, gibt es heute keinen exklusiven Mix, sondern einen, der schon als CD veröffentlicht wurde. Es handelt sich um den "Cut The Crap"-Mix von Andrew Weatherall, der 1996 auf Six6 veröffentlicht wurde. Insgesamt bestand dieser Release aus drei Mixes - aber die anderen beiden von Derrick Carter und Ralph Lawson haben mich nicht umgehauen. Der von Andrew Weatherall ist der absolute Höhepunkt dieses 3er-Packs. Der Name Andrew Weatherall ist mit vielen Projekten verbunden - am bekanntesten dürften The Sabres Of Paradise und Two Lone Swordsmen sein. Di, 09.07.2002    22-00 Uhr	BTTB - Soul <-> HipHop: Thomas Kühnrich "Scheis Hip-Hop - da hört man ja das Marijuhana aus den Boxen kommen", sagte Thomas Kühnrich einmal. Seitdem hat sich viel verändert, und Thomas Kühnrich sieht noch mehr anders. Unter anderem auch das Hip-Hop-Ding. Auch um genau das zu demonstrieren hat der Herr Kühnrich nun einen Soul <-> HipHop-Mix vorbereitet, der es angeblich in sich haben soll: es gibt Musik, Sprache und das alles in Stereo. 	BTTB-X-Series: DJ /rupture's Gold Teeth Thief Als Vorgeschmack auf die X-Session von DJ /rupture, die am 30. Juli im FSK laufen wird, hört ihr heute seinen legendären Gold Teeth Thief Mix. Wie ihr weiter unten lesen könnt, kommt Rupture ursprünglich aus Boston, lebt aber in Madrid, wo er Musik produziert und ein Label betreibt. Er war im Mai in Hamburg und hat im Golden Pudel an drei Plattenspielern ein so hervorragendes Set abgeliefert, daß die Mix-CD schnell ausverkauft war. Eigentlich nicht so schlimm, denn man findet sie auch im Internet - alledings hat nicht jeder eine schnelle Leitung und deshalb könnt ihr den Mix heute hören und aufzeichnen. I've been doing the mix at my neighbour's house - Ratman / Receiver, he's done mixes for you before - today I was going to finish the mix but he called me to say his PC hard drive has gone down. I can't finish the mix, and also everything done before is lost also. I don't know what to say - there's no way to have enough time to finish it before Friday, as I'm really busy this week - I'm organising a stage at the Ashton Court Festival in Bristol on Saturday and Sunday, also DJ'ing in Bristol Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'm really sorry about this - if you can run another mix this week I'll go and do it again at Rat's next week after the festival and hopefully you can play it another time. 	BTTB-X-Series: Motown67 In diesem Monat kommt der Mix der Crate-Digger-Reihe von jemandem, der sich Motown67 nennt. Er kommt aus Berkeley in Kalifornien und sammelt Platten seit seiner Schulzeit. Über die Jahre kam er mit Heavy Metal, Punk, Ska/Reggae und HipHop in Berührung. Nur Soul und Funk hört er schon seit seiner Kindheit - damals über die Platten seiner Mutter. Zum Vinyl Junkie wurde er vor fünf Jahren, als er anfing nach Originalen zu suchen, die vor allem im HipHop gesamplet wurden. Er schreibt zu fast allen Platten Kurzkritiken, die er in verschiedenen e-mail-Verteilern (Crates, Waxaddicts) verbreitet. Man kann all diese Kritiken unter soulstrut.com nachlesen. Bilder von Motown67 findet man nicht im Internet - er mag sie meistens nicht. Für seine Mixtapes benutzt er meistens Zeichnungen von China's Cultural Revolution in den 60ern/70ern - nicht weil er Kommunist ist, sondern weil er halber Chinese ist. Di, 30.07.2002    22-23:15 Uhr	BTTB-X-Series: DJ /rupture's Minesweeper Suite Seit ein paar Monaten kursiert ein Mix im Internet, den manche Kritiker mit der legendären JDJ-Session von Coldcut vergleichen. Der Mix heißt "Gold Teeth Thief" und stammt von einem DJ, der sich /rupture nennt. Am 19. Mai war er in Hamburg zu Gast und hat im Pudel an drei Plattenspielern ein großartiges Set abgelegt. Eigentlich kommt Jace Clayton aus Boston, er wohnt aber seit ein paar Jahren in Madrid. Von dort aus führt er sein Label Soot Records, auf dem er selbst auch veröffentlicht. Der Sound ist nicht so leicht zu beschreiben - auf jeden Fall liegt er im Dunstkreis zwischen Breakbeats, Ragga, Jungle, Illbient und Breakcore, besitzt aber auch stark orientalische Einflüsse. Irgendwo im Internet wurde er wie folgt beschrieben: "Imagine a collision between the sort of stuff coming out on Broklyn Beats (for whom /rupture recently cut a 7") and the Orientalized dub / drum'n'bass sound heard on some WordSound releases a few years back - a sound which /rupture has labeled 'negrophonic.'".
